Sales and Product Leaders Bring Additional Clarity and Business Expansion
[Connecticut, September 2023] – POWWR, the respected energy software provider, today announces a new senior leader to its growing US team, as well as a warmly-welcomed role progression for another of their executive team.
David Pierce joins POWWR as their new Software Sales Executive, while John Craig Swartz refocuses his efforts on POWWR’s Risk360 portfolio.
David will focus on driving sales for POWWR’s Sales360 platform in the United States, where he will build pipeline, engage prospects and customers and deliver revenues through new sales. He has a career built on SaaS sales and has been selling ETRM & CTRM software into a multitude of different markets including energy suppliers for the past two decades. In addition to strong technical knowledge and understanding of the industry, David brings extensive experience in sales management from his previous roles at FIS Kiodex and elsewhere.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of the power industry at such an exciting time for the sector, during a period of such deep innovation”, Pierce comments. “I obviously see the sales process as such a critical part of the business, and I’m a big believer in establishing and sticking to a robust framework; finding things that work and creating velocity in the market.”
John Craig has been with POWWR for almost 12 years, firstly as an Energy Services Risk Analyst, then a Product Development Director, before moving recently into his current role as SVP of Risk360. He will now be responsible for Sales, Services, Product, Success and Operations of POWWR’s complete Risk360 portfolio. Swartz has been instrumental in building out POWWR’s risk management software and service offerings, which have been growing rapidly over the past few years. In this role he will be working closely with Pierce to drive growth and will be working with his counterpart on the product team (Scottland-based new hire Colin Gault) to ensure POWWR is delivering a great software experience for their customers.
"It's a great time to be stepping up into this position, as it brings my focus back to the risk side of the business," said Swartz. "We've had some exciting growth over the last few years and there is a lot more opportunity ahead of us."
Matt Tormollen, CEO of POWWR, comments on both roles: "I'm excited to have David in this position, and it's an important investment in our company's long-term success and growth strategy. John Criag helped build out the current software, and it'll be great to have him back with his team to build our software and services to the next level.”
